I got several e-mails over the past few days asking me about a new online making money site called Surveys4Checks. Apparently they have ads all over Inquirer.net with pictures of people happy holding big cheques and claims of making “hundreds of thousands of pesos monthly”. Did some digging and found out that they will actually ask you for a “sign-up” fee before you can start making money with their website. Since I’ve been victimized by sites like this in the past, I was very hesitant to even check the site out but I was really curious (lol). I also did some research online and I wanted to take this opportunity to share my findings with everyone. Check them all out after the break.
A Bogus Landing Page
When you click the ad, you’re led to a “news website” which talks about how an unemployed mother was able to generate P287,000 a month with a new online service. The header of the site even says: BUSINESS AND FINANCE JOB NEWS. Beneath the article are several planted comments that talk about how effective the service was for them and how much money they’ve made out of it. The URL of the landing page even gives the impression that it really is a news site. However if you take away all the sub-domains and just key in the actual domain, you’ll find out that it’s just a news-designed page made to make it look more credible so you’ll buy in to the idea.
Once you click to the link to the “survey kit” you’ll find out what the product is all about. The website is called Surveys4Checks and they basically will pay you to take surveys, focus groups, and other market research options. This looks very tempting because they even have a calculator which shows how much money you can make with just little effort. Again, note that in order to join you have to pay them an “entrance” fee to join their community. At this point I did more research via ever-reliable Google. Here’s what some of the reviews had to say about this service:

Surveys 4 checks is another trap I’ve fallen into. Like many paid survey sites, surveys 4 checks tells you how will earn money from sitting back on your couch filling out surveys. However they fail to mention the small but important details like qualifying for surveys, filling them out immediately and most importantly, the fact that many don’t offer cash prizes.
I think the most important statement there is the one about not good for international participants.
Anyway, as a disclaimer let me just say that I’ve never tried this product ever and I’m just posting this as an FYI based on what I could uncover via online research. If you feel like you want to give this a go, then by all means try it out. Maybe you can go back here an leave a comment as to how it went for you. However, please be very wary before paying them that entrance fee. Also don’t believe all the rave reviews online because they just pepper it with affiliate links (means they make money out of you if you sign-up by clicking the link from their site). Note that I’m not against affiliate marketing, I just want you to be fully aware of all the details before you shell out your hard earned money for this program.

As a personal rule I avoid any job or online money-making opportunity that asks me to pay any membership fee to get a “job”. First, I am seeking to earn money, not shell out some more. Second, there are lots of other better, legitimate opportunities out there, one just has to look at the right places (some just get too excited or too impatient — or greedy — that they grab at every opportunity that they chance upon).
One way to weed out potential scams is to type into the search engine the words “scam” or “scammer” (or “bad feedback” or any similar combination) + “[name of the website/company that is offering the opportunity]“. If there’s at least one negative feedback that appears then maybe one should reconsider. If there’s a lot then definitely one should stay away.
And like they say, if it sounds too good to be true, then maybe it is.

Well i went 4 it to. I sent them a mail asking 4 refund, and they like answered after 1 week,and said “you should try it for a longer period, u only had for 2 days. I answer THANKS but no thanks. AND then after the haven’t replied or anything, the refuse to give me a refund…i’ve sent like 6 mails!!!!

Same here. I paid their membership fee and I have requested my user ID and passwords. I have sent them several emails for this and no reply. If within two days still no reply, I’ll request for a refund. I’m not happy at all with the way I’m being treated, with hope that I will get my money back.

I am a member of both Surveys4Checks AND Surveys4Income. Now it turns out that it is actually the same thing. They have exactly the same website both. Yes, it is the notion that there are so many surveys for us in Sweden.I paid for being a VIP member, but they wanted more money from me so I could do more surveys to get more money. I advise ALL to that go with being a member. Now I try to get my money back. We’ll see how it goes.
Has there anyone tried it for a period? I tried to google it as well, but there is no one actual participant point it as a scram.

well… guess you dont have other option but to try it out.. you can get your refund if you’re not satisfied on their service anyway.. If I were you.. i’ll try it for a couple of weeks.. if things turn out bad.. then you still have 2 weeks to claim your money back

I am from Finland. I acquired the “Special VIP discount membership for life” for Surveys4Checks, and paid the 39 euro for the membership.
BUT… When I logged in, I didn’t find a ONE SINGLE SURVEY that would accept Finnish people answering the surveys.
I was betrayed. I lost 39 euro being so stupid as to believe their promises.
So luck to see above comments ,i opened website Surveys4Checks just now ,i also have curious, so search this topic online ,found few articles said this problem , it seems no problem ,but i enter here ,i know Surveys4Checks is a trick website ,wish nobody will be cheated .Be carefull.

Did you try the 60-days money back guarantee?
If they won’t give you the money back, you can contact your bank / credit card company / PayPal or what ever, and ask them to help you to get the money back. If you paid with credit card, it’s good to ask your credit card company to take the reservation away before the amount is charged from your bank account.
It must be a scam! Not one person has told us otherwise, except for those holding a check and smiling on the website. Hold on to your money people, the wont give you any refunds!

I hope that people won’t fall for this scam, but i have to say damn this is well crafted. Found big link to it from webcomic site i follow daily. Of course being curious human being i went to their site but after reading it alaram went off right away. Yes those comments are clearly implemented there, but you have to admit. One who did this scam did great job. Its even translated perfectly to my native language which is pretty rare to see from scammers. Happy holidays people

I even have seen commercial for this site in sweden, and after a quick research on swedish forums people have joined because they offered you your moneyback in 60 days – however they never had their 50$ back. And customer support where unable to reach.
Like someone else said – if you really could make that much money doing this – everyone would do it.

This site may not be a scam, they only give you the sites that conduct these surveys, the rest of the job is left for you to do.
I guess its time consuming trying to register with with as many of these survey groups out there before you can start making little money.

This is a response to people experienceing difficulties receiveing their refunds back – I feel victim to their survey site – Only reason why i choose to try it out, Was i´d be able to claim my $ back if i wasen´t satisfied [within 60 days] – So when i realized it was BS x10, I deciding to contact them regarding a Refund, unfortunately, if you try to contact them directly from their website by email, They won´t respond – So what you need to do is using the confirmation link regarding your purchase [Clickbank notifications] – And Contact them instead ! – I got a full refund 1 – 2 days after requesing it. I get the picture, that there are a lot more surveys in the US then in Europe. So one reason that people in China or Pakistan dont earn money, is the fact that there are not surveys in these countries. How many restaurants in Punjab do you think will pay for a survey?
I stille think this is real. And that people can make money if they work for it and fill out surveys. I know some surveys are free and others are not.
I am also convinced that survey4checks are making money with this,- but thats the deal.
I have not tried it, but will do it one of these days. I am out of job and I play lotto for 50 dollars a month anyway….. so I might give it a try.
I will let you know how it goes.
