This news bit has been going around different sites and social networks already. It’s about how a homeless guy named Ted Williams is able to get a second chance in life. Ted has a great announcer/radio voice which he developed when he was young. However drugs and alcohol got into his life and this led to him being homeless. He’s now 2 years clean and he went to the streets with a placard saying that he was an ex-radio announcer and he would do some of his famous voice overs for spare change. A reporter spotted him, caught it on camera, posted it on Youtube, and boom. Ted Williams is now one of the most popular men in the world.

So what happened to Ted? According to this article he received an offer from the NBA. NFL is also interested in getting him. Hopefully he makes good on his promise and makes this second chance work.
He said he wanted to meet his mother before she died to tell her he shaped up his life. They paid for his trip to New York to see her, now 92.
