I’ll be giving a short 15-minute talk on the topic of “New Media, Youth Perception and Reaction” this Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the National Public Relations Student Congress organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). This will be a much welcome break from talks about how to utilize social media for commercial purposes. For this session I’ll be focusing on how to use social media to effect positive change for our country in a global setting.
The event will be at University of Santo Tomas and my talk will be at 1:45PM. There will be a 30 minute Q&A after the session. I’ll be speaking alongside Kring Elenzano.
I’m really pumped up and excited for this event! I’ll try to have it recorded on video so that you guys can watch it even if you’re not there through Youtube.
PRSC 2010 is co-presented by RC Cola and Asiawide Refreshments Corporation and supported by Pfizer, SMART, Maynilad, Mr. Softee, Sun Life, San Miguel Corporation, PAGCOR, Aboitiz, EDC, M2Comms, NGP Manila and the UST Public Affairs Office. For event registration and sponsorship inquiries, please call the PRSP Secretariat at 638 0010 or email publicrelations.prsp@yahoo.com.
Post Script: I’ll be announcing a major joint project with the PRSP very soon!
