Social Media for the Filipino Youth (Article on PDI)

A few weeks ago I was interviewed by Ronna Capili from the Philippine Daily Inquirer about Social Media for the Filipino Youth. This was a very timely piece since classes just started and it was a good opportunity to reach out and help educate the younger generation on how to properly use social networking sites. The article came out last Saturday on the Lifestyle (2BU) section’s front page. Here’s a link to the digital version on their website so you guys can check the article out. If you guys have time, read it and let me know what you think by hitting the comment button below. Cheers!

It’s a very good article and I definitely agree with your insights. I’ve been a victim of the poor use of such sites like friendster and facebook myself but now I’m slowly cleaning them up to present a better and more professional self or as you stated a better brand.

@Ysae: I would definitely love to help out in any way that I can especially if it’s for ministry. I’ll try to write an article sometime in the next few weeks about how churches can utilize social media.

  4. I really think that Filipinos should be guided with the proper use social media. A lot of us use it in a not so good ways.

I’m not even sure if they are aware of what results would come out if people try to search for their names.
