Smart Netphone is the ZTE Blade?

Smart Communications recently announced a new Android 2.2 Froyo OS powered smartphone that they will push in the Philippines called the Netphone. A lot of people started asking if Smart actually built this thing from the ground up or did they just purchase the hardware license so they can rebrand it similar to the PLDT TelPad. Though this isn’t 100% confirmed yet, the Smart Netphone looks a lot like the ZTE Blade. Photos of both phones for your perusal below:

    • I do hope that globe telecom would release their own version like the zte libra to up the ante. Although spec-wise I think they’re almost one and the same. Just my two cents worth.. =)
