Smart Communications recently announced a new Android 2.2 Froyo OS powered smartphone that they will push in the Philippines called the Netphone. A lot of people started asking if Smart actually built this thing from the ground up or did they just purchase the hardware license so they can rebrand it similar to the PLDT TelPad. Though this isn’t 100% confirmed yet, the Smart Netphone looks a lot like the ZTE Blade. Photos of both phones for your perusal below:

Oh… I thought Smart will be having the Huawei iDEOS Phones.
But this one is awesome too!
I do hope that globe telecom would release their own version like the zte libra to up the ante. Although spec-wise I think they’re almost one and the same. Just my two cents worth.. =)
smart netphone is ZTE Blade
its obvious with the apearance
and Smart is patronizing ZTE branded items like their HSDPA USB dongles, their android tablet, their pocket wifi and etc.
