When I hear the name RJ Jacinto I immediately think of RJ Guitars, classic rock, and his failed bid for the senate in the 90′s. I never thought of him as a techie and it looks like I underestimated him. In an exclusive interview with the Inquirer it was revealed that radio station RJ UR 105.9FM will sign off but it won’t close down like NU 107. It will move from the traditional airwaves to Facebook. It will be called UR Faceradio and it will be run by RJ’s son, Ramon “RJ” Jacinto II (25 years old). Other than the audio stream, they will also be showing videos of what the DJ’s are doing in their booth.
UR Faceradio is scheduled for launch on May 28. Looking forward to seeing how this will all work out for them. I have to give them props though. I was stumped that NU didn’t consider doing this and it’s amazing that RJ Jacinto did it before they did.
