If you care about your online reputation and your readers you better make sure that you constantly monitor what ads are being displayed on your site through Google Adsense. There’s been a surge of “dating” sites in the past few months and they’ve been advertising regularly via Google. What’s alarming is that even big publishing companies like GMA7 doesn’t filter their Google ads. This begs the question if the measly dollar earnings that they get from Adsense is worth the potential PR disaster waiting to happen.
Here’s a screenshot of GMA7′s online TV with an ad promoting a rather “controversial” site, Orient Brides.

Here’s another screenshot of my political commentary blog, Juan Country, with another ad from a different online Filipina dating website:

Here’s an article I wrote about how you can filter the ads from Google. Time to start filtering ads.

are you too dumb to know that ads were posted by google..
Again this only counts if you really care about your reputation and your readers.
Right now as I am typing this, the ad displayed on your side bar right is about the secret code of billion dollar empires.
More than a month ago, I saw lots of scientology ads either here or in your other blogs. When I saw them, I checked my Christian- themed blog and saw ads about Koran, Satanism, voodoo and scientology. I was alarmed. I quickly removed adsense from my site.
Thanks for the input Jojo. I had the same ads on my Christian blog as well. Had to take it out.
Maybe it’s time to do a “How to Filter Google Adsense Ads” blog post. :p
Joel buddy! How have you been? Let’s meet up soon and have coffee.
