Randell with Bloggers Noemi and Butch Dado

Last Saturday afternoon, I helped organize a Personal and Practical Finance Forum for Bloggers. Our speaker was registered Financial Planner and fellow blogger, Randell Tiongson. I’d like to thank everyone who dropped by! It was a fun and educational afternoon and I was very happy with the turnout. Based on our registration, we had over 45 people who came over. I was actually expecting only around 20… good thing Randell prepared food for around 50 people. A few pictures and stories after the break.

Randell’s Talk
First, let me give props to the man of the hour. Randell gave a direct-to-the-point and no-nonsense approach to personal finance. I’ve never heard Randell speak before so it was also a first for me. Finance talks are usually boring but he’s able to balance delivering the meat of the presentation with wake-me-up jokes every now and then. My favorite part of the entire talk was definitely his 3 sure-fire ways of how to get rich. I won’t say them here so make sure you try to catch Randell talk in his next speaking engagement.

Monthly Blogger Kapihan?
I had the pleasure of meeting new bloggers like Jed Chan who writes about Entrepreneurship and Business. I like blogs like this because they add value to the readers by providing them with relevant and helpful information. My good friend and fellow blogger, Sonnie, introduced me to Jed and we had a discussion about having monthly blogger meet-ups. I personally think this is a good idea because it gives a venue for networking. Meeting new people is never a bad thing, especially if you can learn something for them. The Blogger Kapihan I’m envisioning is we can have pre-selected speakers who can share tips on their field of expertise and then we can have a healthy discussion after. Maybe we can have Fitz share business ideas and other ways to make money or we can have Janette share some blogging tips. Problem here is the costs… maybe I can find a sponsor. :)

Thanks to GBX, Quick Plate, Registered Financial Planners Institute, School Talk, and Victory Greenhills for the support during Randell’s finance forum.

Hi to all at http://www.newmedia.com.ph. I am new one, but after reading posts here, i can say that you have such nice community here, so assorted nice members.
Genially, i want to to speak about Transformers 2 action movie. I watched it yesterday in Imax, and was very impressed. from the first minute till the end this movie really takes your breathe. Sure, huge money spent on this amazing action, such great producers worked on it, all this computer effects… And ofcourse, Megan Fox… What do you think about this movie, did you like it? Your favorite scene? How do you think will be there 3 part, and about what?
