I’ve been talking about Personal Branding and Value Blogging but now I would like to stop with the theory and start showing you examples. I’ve had the chance to meet several wonderful people who I believe personify personal branding. These individuals were also gracious enough to allow me to interview them on video and I’ll be sharing the interviews in the coming days. The reason why they’re admirable is that they were successful in using Social Media to build their Personal Brand, which resulted to their success in their respective professions. They’re self-employed and they were able to generate a lot of leads which led to a lot of opportunities for work. Here’s a basic diagram of how it works.

In a nut shell, you will build your brand and your profession through value blogging and social networks. I can’t count anymore how many businesses were born on Multiply, and how many more will be made in the coming months. What’s missing though in most cases is the Value Blogging part. Don’t just stick to having a brochure website, try to offer more by giving them content that’s related to your particular niche. Give them a reason to keep on coming back.
This will be made more clear, and more concrete in the coming days when I share with you guys Filipino examples of what I’ve been talking about. Hopefully this will inspire you to also do the same.

Awesome! Yes, I am an advocate of value blogging. In your previous post, you mentioned the classifications of blogs that creators have published in the net and there are many of them seeking to make money out of content.
Now, if individuals will rely on adsense alone, this will take time to make content generate revenue with a big smile on your face. One advantage of value blogging is the value of the content itself. If one is reaching to really make money online, then solve real life problems or case scenarios that other people are having a hard time figuring out.
By having this kind of content, it will be easier to create strategies on how to generate revenue and in the long run be your own boss.
Have a great day Carlo!
Hi Rob, the first interview I’ll be posting later today really shows a good example of someone who’s leveraging on social media. This guy stopped working for a year and relied on Multiply and his blog to generate inquiries and leads for jobs. Very interesting dude.
Btw you’re comment has given me an idea for another blog post – potential revenue streams of a Value Blogger (apart from adsense, text links, and affiliates). Will give it some thought and write on it soon.
Awesome! Value! Value! Value Rocks!
Value blogging builds your brand and online reputation. And the opportunities are boundless in the long run.
While quick money schemes attracts more visitors, chances are the traffic and success is only seasonal.
