One of the major issues I raised during one of the marketing forums of the upcoming campaign was that politicians should be very responsible when it comes to advertising and social media. However it looks like the ugly head of black propaganda has finally shown itself and it will probably even get out of hand once the election is close. I spotted this very direct ad that attacks Senator Manny Villar, Gibo Tedoro, and former President Erap Estrada.

This is probably related to the Jalosos rape case. I read through the site of “Mark Jimenez” and it really didn’t pull any punches with regards to the mentioned politicians. I’m wondering what will happen if someone files a case against him based on this online ad.
Don’t be surprised to see more stuff like this in the coming months. Politicians have millions to burn and even if they won’t do it themselves, they can’t really control their supporters. We’ll probably see a lot of attacks against the current front runners, Senator Noynoy Aquino and Senator Manny Villar.

If ever I see that ad, I’ll click on it many times, then leave the page quickly. By increasing the bounce rate, I’ll make sure that PPC expense will rise for Mr. Jimenez. Furthermore, Google Quality score will drop for his landing page. That is really dirty. That sucks!
Carlo, it also showed up on Facebook Social Ads. I’m surprised that Google and Facebook allowed this ad to run as it violates their placement policies.
@MIke: Agree with you bro. Maybe the concerned parties should send a formal letter to Facebook and Google?
That ad is everywhere. I’ve seen it for weeks on my site so I finally clicked to read what it is all about. I just finished reading the whole story at markjimenez.com an hour ago. I wonder if Comelec has rules for online ads?
I never seen that ad but surprisingly they brought their nasty behavior here in the internet.
