I decided to open my old Yahoo e-mail this morning and browse through my 55,000 unread mails (lol). One e-mail though caught my attention. It was an invite to check out the new Friendster Beta. I clicked on it, got the access codes, logged in, and saw the all-new Friendster. I spent several minutes going through the different pages and it reminded me of Apple’s game center but on a website instead of the iPhone. Like what I said before I still think this is a huge gamble by Friendster since they trashed their biggest legacy feature – the social footprint of their millions of users. Only time will tell if this will do them good. Here are some screenshots:

I worked for Friendster a few years ago so I honestly and sincerely wish all the best for them. They have a lot of talented people there that have so much potential. I just hope that their ideas are heard out by the new MOL management.
The site looks great! I just wonder what are the new features for Friendster. Btw, the new layout looks like Tumblr + Online Gaming in one.

GOSH! I WANT AND I NEED MY PHOTOS BACK! THE ONLY REASON I KEEP MY FS ACCOUNT IS THOSE PICTURES, NOW ALL ARE GONE:)… COULD THERE BE A POSSIBLE WAY TO RETRIEVE PICTURES? LIKE EMAIL FRIENDSTER FOR THEM TO SEND THOSE TO US, I JUST REALLY WANT THEM BACK.
