A lot of brands are now rushing to Social Media to take a stab at the massive online market. However most marketers don’t have too much respect for new media. Since everyone does it, a lot of marketers feel that it’s easy and that it’s something that they can do on the fly. This is where they make a fatal mistake which can just lead to more harm than good. Many online business owners, I think are not advised well on how to optimize the use of social media. Most advices focused in the quantity rather than quality. For example, aiming to get as many followers are they can – let’s say 1000 fans in Facebook. But what those 1,000 fans will do?
You are right. Profile of businesses in social media should be considered. Not just the number of fans or followers. This is very true for company blogs.
