I’ve been doing blogging for a few years now and one of the things I enjoy doing the most is live blogging events such as press conferences and product launches. While I was doing the rounds this morning at the TV5 Media Center groundbreaking event, a colleague asked me what was inside my bag because I kept pulling things out of it (small bag mind you). I know a lot of other bloggers have their own live blogging kits but allow me to share mine:

Slim black leather bag

Mesh pocket has the following: iPad Camera Kit, my old Friendster USB, and Huawei MiFi. Camera Kit is for easy transfer and editing of photos to the iPad. MiFi is for internet just in case venue has no internet and the ISP on my phone isn’t cooperating (different ISP for MiFi and phone).

The bag has two compartments inside. First one is for the iPad…

Second one is for my phones and camera. I don’t bring DSLR cameras anymore (too big). I either use the iPhone 4 camera or my Canon G9.

Everything except the G9 (since I’m holding it to take the photo)
I also usually bring a small notebook and a pen but I rarely get to use them since you have to “tweet-as-you-go” while speakers are delivering their presentations. Here’s the usual routine:
- Check internet. If no WiFi, use iPhone 4. If ISP not working use MiFi.
- Live tweeting via BlackBerry or iPhone 4.
- Video recording and photos via iPhone 4/Canon G9.
- Editing of videos via iPhone 4 iMovie App (really great software, highly recommend it).
- Transfer to iPad via camera connection kit.
- Blog using WordPress App on the iPad. If I’m not rushing I also can just blog everything when I get home.
By the way, this bag is equipped with nanotechnology which will blow your hand away if it isn’t authorized. o_o Seriously though the biggest threat to live blogging kits is that the combined value of the gadgets inside the bag is a bit high. If you’re going to do something like this make sure that you’re doubly, triply, quadruply cautious and careful with your stuff.

LIKE!
Haha, thanks Yvette! By the way I checked your blog. Left a comment on the chat box
You should see my bag too. It so girly but sturdy. with nice compartments. Maybe I should show off my stuff. Problem is I might be “robbed” if i blog about it.
Wait wait wait. Are you serious about the nanotech? WOW!!!!! O.o okay you have to show me how that works one of these days!
The nano defender bugs are released by the Friendster USB drive.
