One of my passions has always been reading books. I always make it a point to read at least 2-3 new books monthly (fiction or non-fiction) to keep my mind sharp and my imagination fluid. Books allow people to learn from the experiences and studies of the authors. Like what a lot of motivational speakers keep on saying “the best teacher is not experience, the best teacher is the experiences of others”. Through the knowledge I was able to cull from books I’ve been able to build my career in the corporate world as well as my current consultancy work.
The New Media PH Book Club will primarily be a section in this site which will have reviews of various marketing, self-help, business development, and even finance books. The reviews will be straightforward and will just highlight on the top 3 lessons learned by the reviewer as well as a final recommendation if the book is a good buy or not. There will be various authors for this particular section since I’m blessed to have a lot of friends who are also into reading a lot of books. Hopefully this will help you guys figure out what books you should buy with your hard earned cash.
Maybe in the future when the response for this project is okay, we’ll even have some coffee sessions or dinner!
