Job Market Online Pussycat Dolls Campaign
May 29

This is undeniably the weirdest employment program I have ever seen in my entire life. While browsing through Inquirer.Net, I saw an ad of the Pussycat Dolls Manila Concert at the top. I normally don’t pay attention to ads like this one but man the copy just “forced” me to click. It said there – Upload your resume and get a chance to watch the pussycat dolls! OMG! What a promo! Hahahaha! May trabaho ka na, manonood ka pa ng concert! Details after the break.
After clicking the ad, you’re led to a promo page. Here’s a screen shot:

Okay, just a quick comment on the design. The picture of the Pussycat Dolls drowns out the entire page. I have to scroll down a lot just to reach the actual promo mechanics. I think the designers could have done a better job with the elements so that everything can be seen without having to scroll down.
Here are the promo mechanics:
HOW TO JOIN
1. Participants must first register at Job Market Online (www.jobmarketonline.com). An e-mail containing the procedure to activate the user’s account will be sent.
2. After activating the account, the user must log in and complete his or her resume. After submitting the resume, the user automatically wins two (2) cinema tickets and is included in the Pussycat Dolls Concert (Doll Domination) raffle.
3. Existing users of Job Market Online must have their accounts activated and have an active resume in order to be included in the Pussycat Dolls Concert (Doll Domination) raffle.
4. Contestants who qualify for the promo may increase their chances of winning by inviting others to join. A promo page is available on the Job Market Online site for referring e-mail addresses. Users may refer as many e-mail addresses as they want.
5. Users get an additional raffle entry for a referral, regardless of how many email addresses are submitted.Pussycat Dolls Concert Raffle Draw:
1. 50 winners will be chosen at the office of Inquirer Interactive Inc. The winners will be awarded two (2) Silver Pussycat Dolls Concert tickets each.
2. The winners will be chosen from all the raffle entries. Only entries accumulated within the promo period will be included.
3. The list of winners will be published in Inquirer Job Market and uploaded in Job Market Online on June 7, 2009 (Sunday).
Man, this is one weird promo. Hahaha. Anyway, it’s a win-win. If you don’t get a chance to see them live, you’ll get a cinema ticket. Not bad. This would have probably spread much faster if they decided to tap bloggers to spread the word for them and not just rely on one banner ad in Inquirer.net. If they had extra budget, they could have also done targeted advertising on Facebook (really affordable).

What’s gonna happen is they are going to get a bunch of CVs from people who are not interested in the job. I don’t know why the job advertisers try to incentivize hiring when all they’re doing is adding undesirables to their database. A job if marketed well is incentive enough.
saw the site and yeah you’re right scrolling down for the mechanics is such a hassle they could’ve done a better layout execution plus there’s so many violators that’s almost clashing with each other nahehelo ako! also it takes my attention away from the pussycat dolls (ahahha mas favor ako sa pics ng PCD) anyway that’s a good promo though
