We launched a new project for TV5 a few days ago called “Elevator ng Lagim”. It’s basically an interactive video on Youtube which is like a “choose-your-own-adventure” type. We used Youtube Annotations so that viewers can click certain parts of the video which then are linked to different videos. Each link has a different video.

It’s doing pretty well since it’s been shared over 5,700 times already on Facebook in the last 48 hours. Hopefully the sharing continues and the organic traffic snowballs especially with Halloween just around the corner.
Ideas – Action = Sh*t
In the last 3 months we’ve launched several sites (and even an iOS App, Android coming soon… right Redi? xD) and three major digital marketing campaigns. The first was Bagets Nation and then we followed it up with Nasaan Si Aga, and now we have Elevator ng Lagim.
This brings me to the main point of my post: Ideas – Action = Shit. I’m very fortunate to have people in my team who are excellent in execution. As in ala Brett “The Hitman” Hart level: Excellence in Execution. For Nasaan Si Aga we took a risk with a small house development group but these guys delivered more than what we expected (Thank you Arnold). For Elevator ng Lagim our in-house Creative Head, Mervin, worked on this tirelessly for several nights. He literally worked 24-hours on some nights just to get it right because of the revisions. A lot of other people in the team put in tons of effort (you know who you are guys) and I just feel really happy and proud of everyone in the group. Our boss (Hi Jane!) and one of our colleagues (Hi Rissa!) also were there to support it and put us back in the right path when we were straying away already from the objective.
The best thing is that this is just the start. I am extremely looking forward to 2012 and all the stuff we’ll be doing together in New Media. This November we have another huge milestone to unveil and you’ll definitely read about it here when it’s up!
Moving forward we all just have to remember that Ideas – Action = Sh*t, Good Idea + Passionate Action = Epic Awesome.
Kudos to your team, Sir Carlo! Galing ng idea and solid ang execution. Adding annotations (elevator buttons) that redirect to the other videos (floors) is really clever!
