New Media PH was invited to a media event hosted by Groupon Philippines on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. We’ll be sending one of our writers to cover the event and do some live blogging/tweeting.
For the benefit of those who don’t know who Groupon is: Groupon is one of the biggest group buying company in the world. They recently purchased Beeconomics, a group buying website operating in the Philippines to establish their local presence here. In group buying the website leverages the community to drive the prices of the products lower. The discounts usually range in the 40%-70% range.
