Google Chrome now available for Mac

I received an e-mail the other day informing me that Google Chrome is now available for Mac users. I immediately downloaded it and I’m currently using it as my primary browser and so far it’s been one of the smoothest browsers currently available. Prior to Chrome I’ve been a Firefox and Safari user but I don’t think I’ll be coming back to Safari or Firefox anytime soon.

There are a lot of cool features for Chrome but I’d like to zero in on the major highlights:

- Faster browsing experience; not really noticeable but I like the fact that my screens don’t freeze up as much (which happens frequently on Safari).
- Omnibox feature is also cool. The panel where you type in the URL also acts as the search bar. No need for a separate Google search tab. Here’s a video about the Omnibox:
