My fiancee and I were lazy this evening so we decided to have some Chinese food delivered from North Park. I gave them a call and while I was browsing their website trying to look for the menu while waiting for them to pick up. Eventually I heard a voice on the other line and I asked if the menu was available online. The person’s answer was a bit funny.
“Sir, picture lang nandiyan and konti lang, punta kayo click the city kasi nandun menu namin.”
After letting out a sigh of frustration, I logged on and searched for North Park on Click the City. I finally found the menu and it looked terrible. It was just a scanned version of their menu in low resolution. Also, the problem with Chinese restaurants is that the menu usually has small fonts which was the case here.

North Park website. Heavy on flash and no useful information.

North Park on Click the City was even more helpful than the official site.
Restaurants should seriously spend more time and effort when it comes to their online strategy. This is even more applicable for restaurants like North Park who primarily cater to A, B, upper C (most of which probably have internet access). A properly made website can definitely bring in more business because it’s like an online salesman, 24/7. The moment someone logs on to your restaurant site it should act like some sort of lion which bites them in the neck and won’t let them go away without them either giving you their e-mail address, buying from you via delivery, or going to your restaurant to eat the next week. Don’t just make websites for the sake of making sites, make them because you want the site to have an impact on your bottom line.

Good one Carlo! I think all the restaurants/fast food joints here should get blogged so that we can get better service/foods. I come here yearly for a vacation and each year, the same eateries’ level of service/food goes down. Maybe not enough “exposure” about their so called service?
It will only take a matter of time before more Filipinos (customers and business owners) become more aware that social media and mobile internet can lead to better service.
This is a fail website done by Filipino restaurant. It sell too much informative rather than attract their customers. It not a function website , it just a photocopied of their menu book as i see from the website
