Remember the famous Dick Gordon-Moymoy Palaboy viral video which had the good former Senator dancing to the tune of “In the Jungle“? Well you won’t be able to watch it anymore unless you were able to download the video from Youtube because it was taken out just recently for violating copyright laws. Apparently Sony Music Entertainment filed a complaint or something which forcibly took the video out online.
In my last count, the video was well over 300,000 views making it one of the most successful political viral videos in the Philippines. Too bad they were shut down by Sony and Youtube.
Lesson here? Either get original music or ask for permission before coming out with a viral video with a commercial song for your music/SFX.
