The Department of Health official website was hacked twice in December. This is a strong signal for the Philippine government to seriously consider upgrading their websites. And I’m not just talking about security, but the over-all quality. Most of the government websites literally look like crap and these needs to be fixed. We have so many good talents here in the country that can do globally competitive web and graphic design.
Here’s a screenshot of the DOH site hacked. Picture courtesy of GMA7.

Here’s the official statement of DOH re: the issue:
“Wala kaming ginagawang ganitong page. Siguradong napasok ito. Nagcreate sila ng bagong page na hindi naglolog-in as administrator. So, backdoor ang ginamit dito,” said Carolina dela Cruz, information system analyst of the DOH
Man. That’s kinda obvious don’t you think?

Technology have ups and downs
Whoever made the website sya lang ang may access sa website at sya lang ang source nun dahil supposedly sya lang ang nakakaalam ng passsword for the website di maha-hacked yun kung hindi nya nilabas. kaya ginawa nya yan para kumita syempre para mgpagawa pa ng website at kumita sya.!
IP’s are unique… working as an administrator is not easy as 1..2..3.. you have to secure all your server for possible hacking… and hacking is not being done without the consent of someone in charge of the main server or domain..
i think security is very infinite and this time the hacker has access their website because sombody authorized him or give him server detils and info’s.
