Facebook’s penetration of at least 93.9% (relative to online users) in the Philippines has turned us into the social networking capital of the world. If you think about it Facebook’s growth locally has snowballed in the last 2-3 years and that’s why I’ve always wondered when they would set-up shop here. I was always under the impression that they’ve left the PH alone but apparently there was an “Official Facebook Reseller” assigned to our country. For reasons known only to them, Facebook changed resellers just last month and gave it to Admax. For all intents and purposes turning them into the official representative of the leading global social network here in the Philippines.
Met up with the Sales Director of Admax-Facebook PH this afternoon. He’s actually a very familiar face in the digital marketing industry – Mr. Nars Reyes. He used to be the Sales Director for Friendster. I’ve worked with Nars for a couple of months and I can say that he’s one of the few people in this country that really knows digital like the back of his hand. Congratulations bro! Looking forward to seeing more brands get on Facebook in the coming months ahead!
