GMA News is looking for people to join their Digital News Gathering and Social Media team. Their official Twitter account @gmanews, sent out an update this morning asking people who wanted to join their team that had editorial, web, FCP, and photoshop skills to send them a reply via Twitter. This is most likely a content production job so I think bloggers fit the bill very well. Anyway, if you’re interested, just send them a Tweet. Details after the break.

I got an e-mail from their Digital News Gathering Head with more details:

1. Digital News Gathering deals with using the Internet to send and receive video materials and packaged stories.

2. Social Media tasks include managing social media initiatives of GMA News, repertorial duties, content production, producing segments, as well as managing our citizen journalism initiative – YouScoop.

3. Finding new technologies that can be used in news gathering.

I’m excited to see how GMA will compete with ABS and TV5 with their new media initiatives.
