The Department of Health official website was hacked twice in December. This is a strong signal for the Philippine government to seriously consider upgrading their websites. And I’m not just talking about security, but the over-all quality. Most of the government websites literally look like crap and these needs to be fixed. I was invited over the weekend to give a talk on “E-Trepreneurship” at the EARIST Cavite Campus. They initially asked me to talk for three hours on how the internet can make them globally competitive. SMART Bro’s latest event and promotion really caught me by surprise. They had an event called SMART Bro B Free Day at the Mega Tent along Meralco Avenue. In the event, they gave away 10,000 free units of the UAAP/NCAA designed SMART Bro USB Plug-it modems to students.
