Broadband Cap trashed by NTC

I wasn’t actually expecting this but it looks like the strong opposition showed during the public hearing of the controversial “Broadband Cap” issue paid off! The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) junked the section in their original draft memorandum order allowing companies to limit the data download of customers. In an even better move, the NTC also said in their statement that they will focus on “ensuring the improvement of services delivered to internet users”. Are they serious? Because if they are then let’s hold them to their promise!

I’m looking forward to what kind of “improvements” we will be seeing in the coming months ahead. :)

Hahahah… and why cap in the first place? It’s more than slow enough in most places in the Philippines anyway…
