Linchpin by Seth Godin is by far one of the best books I’ve ever read. This book literally is one of the foundations of my consulting career and I wouldn’t be doing what I do now if I wasn’t inspired by Seth Godin with Linchpin and his previous books. In this book, Seth talks about how the rules of the world have changed and that people who acknowledge and act on this change stand to become indispensable. This book will challenge most of the things that you’ve come to accept in life and make you see through different lenses. This paradigm shift will allow you to grow exponentially professionally and personally.
Given how communication and technology has rapidly evolved in the past few years, Linchpin is a very timely and apt read for people who want to take advantage of the various online tools available in building a personal brand.
You need to read this book if you are:
- Stuck in a job that you don’t really like doing and you don’t know what to do next.
- Working in the same company for years and yet you haven’t gotten promoted as much as you want.
- Need inspiration and motivation to abruptly change your life for the better.
I’m sure a lot of people in this world fall under the three bullets that I just listed above. If ever you do, please go out and buy this book. It will be one of the best investments that you will ever make.
