Bloggers Forum-Dinner for the 137 Stranded Bus Drivers in Dubai

Bloggers with Bus Drivers, Former Labor Undersecretary Toots Ople, Former Congressman Willie Villarama

We organized a simple dinner-forum for a few bloggers so they can meet several bus drivers that the Blas F. Ople Policy Center was able to bring home after they were swindled and stranded in Dubai. The bus drivers who were present recanted what they experienced and how much they’ve lost already because of this harrowing ordeal. It’s really sad when you hear stories of how people exploit and take advantage of our fellow countrymen who just want a better life for their families.

I’d like to thank Noemi, Sonnie, DJB, Pat, Ding, Rochelle, Peter, Janette, and Randell for joining us in the dinner-forum. Thank you also to the bus drivers who went all the way from Bulacan and other provinces to join us for the dinner.
