3 Reasons why Filipino businessmen should bring their brands online

Filipino CEOs and Marketing Directors are usually hesitant to go online because they feel like it’s just a waste of effort, time, and money. Most of the time though they don’t agree because it’s not properly explained to them by their subordinates and consultants. Here are three solid reasons why Filipino businessmen should consider bringing their companies and brands online.

How do they find you? Telephone Directories?

When people need solutions for their problems they don’t go to telephone directories anymore. What they do is they log on to the internet and search. If you don’t have a website and you’re not on the first page of Google, then you don’t exist. Your website is a 24/7 marketing and selling machine that never rests. All you have to do is to make a good one and then push the “on” button.

Is the competition leaving you behind?

This is my favorite reason when I give talks about this topic. Think of your top three competitors. Open a new tab on your browser and key-in their names on Google search. If they have a website already and several blog reviews, then you have a lot of catching up to do. If they don’t then you have one huge opportunity to grab market share from them.

Imagine your business as a mansion and your customers are your valuables and artifacts inside the house. To protect them you set up high tech alarms and cameras all over the property so that your competition won’t be able to steal them from you. Not having online presence is literally leaving the backdoor open.

The numbers will speak for themselves

There are numerous published studies already that show the massive potential of social media and the internet in the Philippines. Our company made a promotional video which summarizes a lot of these stats. Click here to watch the video.

It’s already 2010. If you’re still doing marketing like it was still the 1990′s then something is obviously wrong.
